What Causes Chills Along With Headache?

hello, I woke up this morning with severe chills and shaking along with a headache in the back of my head at the base of my skull. I also was nauseous. headache in the front of my head too, felt like sinus. I'm thinking of getting xrays of my neck to check for arthritis.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I understand your concern.

Severe headache, chills, nausea can be due to meningitis/vector borne disease like malaria,dengue/migraine.

Basically, absence of fever would rule out infectious disease and point more towards migraine.
If you have nasal congestion/cough/sore throat, sinusitis is possibilty.
It has nothing to do with arthritis of neck.
I recommend you to visit general physician to have your detailed physical examination followed by certain investigation.
Management depends upon the cause.

Hope I answered your query.
Any further query are welcome.Wish you good health.
