hello doc, so recently I suffered from a fever 39.2 C( resolved after the second day after taking Tylenol), chills, coughed green mucous(on my third day being sick), Headache, and leg aches(lasted for two days), and mild night sweats on my second day. Now I m suffering from chills and green mucus, so I was wondering if I have anything to worry about. And I was also diagnosed with TB around 7 years ago and went through a full 1-year treatment.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to bacterial respiratory infection. Broad spectrum antibiotics like Co amoxiclav will be required. I usually give thrice daily 625mg for 5 to 7 days. Better to do a sputum AFB test to rule out tuberculosis also. Thanks.
