General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possibility of a infection must be ruled out. There is high chance for infection and septicemia after prostate biopsy because the highly contaminated fecal contents gets an access to the blood stream.

Consult a urologist and get evaluated. Antibiotics must be started empirically. A blood culture may be required in case of persistent symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
