My husband has flu like symptoms chills, slight fever, achy all over, headache, dry cough, chest tightness, he also had one eye today that he could not focus with /colorful and scrambled. What do you make of that symptom in relation to the flue like symptom??
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chills and mild fever along with chest tightness and cough which is due to bacterial infection leading to strep throat along with upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to panic about it. I would suggest you to take Diphenhydramine and Dextromethorphan. You should take steam inhalation. Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Get X-Ray chest done. Drink lukewarm water throughout the day as it can provide relief. Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist . Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Throat lozenges one every 4 hours is helpful. It is very important to take steam which will be very helpful in relieving congestion.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
