What Causes Chills And Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Throat?
Hello, I have had a cold and chills for one week and it is going away, but now my glands by my throat under the ears has swelled up greatly. I am on prednisone. I went to the doctor on Friday, should I go again and this was not present on Friday when I went. Can I go back to work? Doug
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. You have said that you had cold and chills since one week. It means you are suffering from Upper respiratory tract infection and the swollen lymph nodes are due to the infection. You should get yourself assessed by a physician as you may require an antibiotic course for controlling the infection. Your lymph nodes will go back to normal as soon as the infection is under control. Meanwhile you should drink lots of fluids and do warm saline gargles. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
