Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my fiancee is a male 53 yrs old on Lisinopril, being treated for high cholesterol and increased BP , which of late has been 130/80.... He also sleep apnea, and is on a CPAP, which has not shown any any alerts. The question I have is about his drop in body temperature during sleep. He gets so cold sometimes I think he may have passed. He wakes up shivering and takes a good hour and a hot shower before he can fully warm up. Should I be concerned?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The most common cause of drop in the body temperature is the decreasing blood pressure levels. As he is on antihypertensive treatment, I recommend consulting his physician and getting dose alteration.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Purva Patel
