I have osteoarthritis. I am 72 years old and have had this disease since my early 40 s. My father and his mother also suffered from osteoarthritis. When I put in an extremely active day (for me), I have chills and shiver for hours that night in bed. This has happened 3 times in the last 3 years. My muscles and joints hurt even more the next 2 days. I feel as if my joints had been over-inflamed and the shivering is my body s way of cooling them. Make any sense to you?
