What Causes Chlorinated Smell And Coloured Mucus?

Hello. I have had a polyp remove from my right nasal cavity about a 3 years ago. I now have that chlorinated smell leaking from nostril again plus colored mucus and if I spit it up it is also colored like brownish red blood. What could be the cause of this?
