What Causes Chocking Sensation In Throat Causing Difficulty In Swallowing?
Please need a genuine advice, am 27, recently I have been diagnosed with high BP, and my doctor prescribed me Betacap 40, but the problem is am not able to swallow pill it gets struck in throat and remain their entire day until it dissolves, sometimes it feels like chocking and discomforting entire day/ night, and due to this am able to take medicines properly and my BP is keep on increasing, am now in complete distressed and feels like my life is in danger, please-please advice me.
1. Difficulty in swallowing (dysphagia) is a normal variant seen among most people where they are unable to swallow pill/tablet
PS. If you are able to swallow solid food or any other eatables then I can find no anatomical problem in you, however for all practical reasons one should undergo following guidelines:
a. Have a local inspection of your throat with a good torch and tongue depressor. If throat is not congested, think of true dysphagia.
b. Since anti hypertensive medications comes in tablet/capsule form (sublingual/intravenous are reserved for emergency procedure) thus ask your attending physician as to how to swallow the drug properly.
