What Causes Choking Feeling In Throat?

I have been having this choking feeling in my throat for at least 8 years I feel like my shirt is choking me even I'm not wearing one I can't seem to eat much or even swallow any pills no matter how small they are... So what can this be ? Should I see a throat doctor ?

Choking feel may be due to repeated aspiration or bronchial asthma or GERD or esophageal spasms etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Need Upper GI endoscopy and barium swallow. Please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
