What Causes Choking Sensation After Taking Dexilant?

I have been taking one 60 mg dexilant tablet for about 9 days now...Three days ago I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and everything looked pretty good. My doctor said that I had some gastritis and they did a biopsy for H pylori and Celiac disease. I will get the results next week. Ever since I have been taking the Dexilant I have felt a slight choking sensation which I just thought was my nerves. it would come and go. After my procedure the other day it seems worse and it still would come and go. I ve decided today that I wouldn t take the medicine and see if that was the problem. I don t know how long it stays in your system. I think I will just take the Pepcid, which is what I took before I saw the doctor. I will give him a call on Monday. What are your thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It is not related to Dexilant.

If symptoms are severe better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
