What Causes Choking Sensation And Breathlessness After Taking Fish Oil Pills?

I was choking on one of my fish oil pills that I take every day. It wouldn t go down and I couldn t breath. A girl at work did the heimlich and dislodged it. I think it ended up going down the right way. I coughed for a few minutes. My throat is a bit sore and so is my chest. My son is concerned and feels I should see a dr. I also probably aspirated a bit of the liquid i was using to wash the pill down. Do i need to see a dr for this? I feel the episode was more scary than anything and I am grateful to my coworker. But my son is still concrened for me.

Nothing to worry. Your son can breathe. cough has subsided. so lungs are fine. Tablet has gone through the gastro intestinal tract. Just leave that episode behind and go ahead. tall your son to enjoy life.
