What Causes Choking Sensation And Sticky Feeling In The Throat?

Yes thank you I want to ask you I have a very bad problem with my throat especially at night feels like something is stuck at the back of my throat very sticky and gluey which I can t seem to take out even coughing a lot I had indoscopy they could not find any thing and my nose keep on getting blocked I have to keep on using Otravin what shall I do please help

Hi,
I understand your concern.I can see two probable causes. 1. Post nasal drip- means sputum collected from behind the nose, dripping down the throat, most likely a sinusitis issue.

2. LPR-Laryngopharyngeal Reflux.-otherwise called as silent reflux. ( of acid from the stomach into the voice box area)

I would generally treat my patients with a course of antihistamines and a course of PPIs i.e. acidity controlling medicines like Neksium..
However, i suggest you to consult with your ent, before starting the medicines.
