What Causes Choking Sensation In The Throat After Eating?

I was eating some rice for dinner and then laid down on my bed. I started mildly choking soon after (I could still talk, breathe, cough, etc). This went on for about an hour or so. I vomited once and I think it made it better but shortly thereafter I started feeling woozy and a little disoriented. I was reading online about hypoxia. Should I be concerned? Also, I feel normal now but have a slight sensation that something might still be stuck in my throat (might just be me being paranoid). Should I be worried about this as well? Thank you

Hello,

There is a chance you may have aspirated some food, which would have led to the choking. Please do not worry you will be fine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
