What Causes Choking While Swallowing Food?

I Have recently been diagnosed with Gastroparisis of the Stomach; Severe Crohns Disease, and Colon Cancer, After years of being miserable because doctors just kept telling me that nothing was wrong it was simply IBS....Well i have been put on a liquid diet and now mech soft diet, but i no longer have medical insurance due to having to go part time because of my symptoms . i guess its been untreated too long.... but i can literally ONLY EAT A FEW bites of mashed potatoes before i take my meds, and ive noticed for almost a month now, ive had a constant feeling of kinda a lump sensation in my throat, it doesnt move when i swallow, it never goes away, no matter what i intake , as in soup, instead of potatoes. It also doesnt hurt, its uncomfortable, but not actual PAIN. Well two days ago ive started getting chocked while drinking , now i have choked while simply swallowing my Saliva.....What is this ? Should i be concerend ? I mean i couldnt go see my doctors even if i should be worried, but i would just like to know what is causing this ??? Pleaseeeee HELP

Hello,

As you have difficulty in swallowing of solid and liquid both.
kindly do upper GI endoscopy after gastro-enterologist to rule out any other possibilities like cancerous mass.
Treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.
