Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What could be wrong if have severe flan pain, go to hospital, and they find one of your kidneys bleeding into a sack attached to your kidney and they find fliud around your lungs as well. Symtoms that lead you to go to ER: extreme flank pain. The hospital admits you, does tests then discharges you to home saying they don t know what is wrong, and they m ade an appointment to a specialist of unknown type. You have b ecome so weak, you know need walker. Before acute pain began you were 68 year old professional working man ( week earlier) hx of chronic back pain that they thought was osteoarthritis, and precribed medical Marijuana to take prn, which helped last 2 years. No other symptoms.
Most probably it will be a spine-related problem like a prolapsed disc or nerve compression. As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. You can consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan to make a diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
