What Causes Chronic Constipation While Taking Aldactone And Captopril?
Sir. My father in law is suffering from Dilated cardiomyopathy. Doctors have given him frusemide,captopril,aspirin,aldactone and carvedilol. Now he is suffering from constipation.He has not paased his stools since last week .Please suggest the medicine for constipation and management . Shams

What is his age? Is he passing flatus?is there abdominal distension and vomiting?
In my opinion he should use soft diet with more fibres
Add salad to his diet along with isphaghol husk two times after meals with plain water. You should also add syrup lactulose 30 ml at night. It will help relieve his constipation.
If it is not relieved then meet your doctor...
