What Causes Chronic Cough And Mild Pain In The Chest Post A Colonoscopy?

I had a colonoscopy last Thursday.....they stopped the procedure as I aspirated towards the end. For the last two days, I have had symptoms of coughing and slight pain in the chest area, left front and back. Could this be from aspirating fluid into my lungs? Thank you.

Hi,

The cough and chest pain are obviously in relation with lung inflammation following fluid aspiration during anesthesia.

I recommend to undertake an X-ray chest and medicinal support with antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, decongestant, bronchidilator, steroids as per the clinician concern.

Hope I have answered your query.
