What Causes Chronic Cough And Throat Spasms Long After Asthma?
hi my daughter who is 27 years old was diagnosed some years ago with asthma she has also been treated for acid reflux, sinus problems, allergies but here lately is experiencing a very bad cough that goes on all day and has lasted over a week. whe says her throat is having spasms which is causing her to cough. What can she do about this?

Chronic dry cough can result from acid reflux also, a condition called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which could be causing her the irritation and thus the symptoms. Please first make sure she is well treated for GERD and then assume asthma to be the cause, but seek management for both conditions.
