What Causes Chronic Cough, Heaviness In The Chest And Sore Throat?
On day 6 of horrible barking cough. Feel some heaviness in my chest and sore throat coming on today, in addition to pain horizontally across my back, just under shoulder blades when I cough. I m a 59 yr old female, who had a spinal fusion in November, and just returned from 8 days in Mexico in case it makes any difference. My concern is not knowing if bronchitis or pneumonia may be setting in. Of course the hacking cough is killing my low back (surgical spot), but don t know if pain across back just under shoulder blades is sore muscles from coughing or?? No fever, although at times I feel like I have one. Thank you

gofor warm saline gurgling and get throat examined by ent doctor. can consult pulmunologist for complete chest examination.on his advise can start benadryl expectorant with any antibiotic if advised.
