What Causes Chronic Cough?

my husband has a bad cough he has had it for about two months. also he has been in the hospital for a bad infection in his leg while he was in the hospital he told the doctor about his cough and they ignored him like it was not important now he has the cough but its not has bad has it was. it don t seem to bother him but I am still concerned. would this be something serious?

Your husband is suffering from a chronic cough and it needs to be investigated. I would advise you to get his chest X-ray done. It may be due to seasonal allergy but it's still advisable to rule out anything serious. You have not mentioned whether your husband smokes or not. Consult a chest physician. He may be needed to be put on antibiotics for a few days.
