What Causes Chronic Cough?

I have had a cough for the past 3 to 4 months. Have had a chest x-ray that shows nothing. But I still continue to cough. Some days it is not too bad and other days like today I thought I was coughing up a lung. What could this be since my doctor doesn t seem to know.

This chronic cough might be an allergic cough. You might have been exposed to some allergen that triggered your airways to be hyper-reactive; thus, causing you to cough. You must find out what this trigger is, and stay away from it as soon as possible.
