What Causes Chronic Diarrhea Along With Numbness On The Right Cheek?

My 81 yr old wife with dementia started having explosive (3) diahria in the last two hours. She claims her right cheek on her face feels numb but, it doesn t look any different. She felt like it has some ticks in her cheek. I saw a couple of them. Is this cause to worry at this time. She has had bowel problems with 16 of sigmoid colon resection 8 yrs or so. ?

Hi,

An episode of acute diarrhea sounds to be intestine infection through some sort of bacteria or virus.

The cheek issue sounds non-specific, still has to be addressed to her PCP for evaluation of vital parameters.
