What Causes Chronic Diarrhea?

I have experienced watery, smelly, and numerous diarrhea attacks since last year. I do not have to eat anything to cause these bowel attacks. Sometimes the smell of food, a picture of food or just the thought of eating causes these attacks. I fasted today because I had an appointment to get some ultra sounds and during the tests I experienced a diarrhea attack. Once I got home, after the two procedures, I experienced four major diarrhea attacks within just 30 minutes.
