What Causes Chronic Diarrhea?

My husband is having loose bowel movements 5 to 6 times daily. They come on with no warning. He has what feels like a hernia in the groin area and has a hernia that involves the testicular cord.. He had a colonoscopy which showed nothing out of the ordinary that would be the cause of the bowel movements. He also had a CT scan which apparently showed nothing.

I think it's related to dietary habits. He may have parasitic infection and celiac disease, which can cause chronic diarrhea. Stool test should be done. Both stool R/M and CS are necessary to find the cause.
