Am having ear pain and pressure. ENT says no inflammation, no infection, review of recent MRI shows no obvious nerve problem. severe pain to load sharp noises. No balance or vertigo issues. My Parkinson s neurologist says not related. Have been to Family Med , ENT and neurologist. My hearing is now virtually non existent in this ear. Now slightly starting in other ear.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
the most common cause is presbyycusis. This could be age related hearing loss. as there is no organic cause or problem found by ENT, Neurologist or Family physician.
The treatment would be hearing aids and try to find the secondary underlying cause if any and then treat accordingly.
