Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was on Cymbalta 30 mg. They upped my dose to 60 mg. I broke out in hives and my exzema has gotten worse. I have been to a dermatologist and have been on Prednisone and cream. The major part of the hives is gone but still have several places. The exzema is still bad. Could it be from the dose change.
It is possible that the symptoms are related to the Cymbalta increase dose.
Hives are part of the body's hypersensitivity reaction (increased sensitivity) and this is a possible side effect of Cymbalta. You should let your doctor know about the reaction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
General & Family Physician
