What Causes Chronic Fatigue And Difficulty In Focusing?
Good afternoon- I m looking for information pertaining to my glucose level. I had a physical august 28th and the reading was 150. I just bought a meter tested myself (nothing eaten and only water for 6 hours) and the test was 142. I am overweight (bmi 33), ridiculously tired all the time now and my father had diabetes. Lately I ve been having trouble focusing and it s affecting my work. I might sound naive but I don t even know what doctor to see, my main doctor didn t give too much concern to it but did tell me to I have to lose weight, classified me obese ( about 30 lbs overweight). Any information would be greatly appreciated, I m sick and tired of taking 5 hour energy drinks to get me through the day Thank you for your time-cjdevin
If you are in doubt, then you must get yourself tested for diabetes. You can get your fasting sugar and PP done to see if insulin resistance is present since you are overweight and have a first degree relative with diabetes. You have not mentioned your age. If you are 45 years or more, then you should surely get a screening done for diabetes. Also energy drinks will not help in boosting energy levels. Eat healthy, have a well-balanced diet low in fat and sugar. Have more fibre rich foods like salads, raw fruits and vegetables like apples, melons, carrots, cucumber. Do you drink alcohol? If yes, then try to limit intake as excessive alcohol consumption can also be responsible for fatigue. You might be deficient in B vitamins which could be one possible reason for your fatigue. Include plenty of whole grain cereals to ensure adequate intake of B vitamins. You can also take a B complex capsule daily. Hope I have answered your query. If you need more advice then you can surely get back to me. I will be glad to help you!
