symptoms: tired, always hungry, headache, pins and needles in hands and feet, back pains, needing to pee alot, sore feet and legs (muscles), always thirsty. have tried a home test kit for diabetes which came back with 5.7 and 5.9 which are within the 0.6-33 range.
Hello there, Your symptoms are a lot like symptoms due to high sugars. However with all these symptoms the sugars are usually in the range of 200-300mg/dl that is more than 10 mmol. However we do not rely on home testing kits for diagnosing diabetes. So it would be better to get an OGTT (oral glucose tolerance test) and HbA1c to confirm your diabetic status. If fasting sugars are more than 125 or after 2 hours of glucose it is more than 199 then you are a diabetic. If not diabetic then you need a thorough examination and a battery of blood tests to find why you have all these symptoms. Hope this helps. Take care.
