What Causes Chronic Fatigue, Leg Cramps And Shortness Of Breath?
in Recent months I have experienced extra fatigue, occasional dizzy spells, some shortness of breath, bruising for no apparent reason and lasting longer than before, leg cramps during the night and now today, some bleeding of my gums... had echocardiogram 2 weeks ago as doc heard new heart murmur. Echo came out ‘fine.’ Apparently it showed slight enlargement of the muscle. Was told not uncommon for my age. No worries. My symptoms are still concerning. I have no energy. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You may want to consider blood tests to check for anemia or low levels of thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism), both of these can cause fatigue. Infections, chronic illnesses (Example: diabetes, liver or kidney disease, chronic fatigue syndrome), can also cause these problems to occur.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
