Hello,

We can chat about this. Chronic fatigue, nausea, cold chills followed by hot spells, and mood changes can be caused by a variety of medical and mental health conditions. It's important to speak with a healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment. In my opinion some possible causes of these symptoms include:
* Depression: Depression can cause feelings of hopelessness, fatigue, loss of interest, and changes in appetite and sleep patterns. Although you mentioned that you take an SSRI medication, it's possible that you may need a different or additional medication to manage your symptoms.
* Anxiety: Anxiety can cause a variety of physical symptoms, including nausea, chills, and hot flashes. It can also cause feelings of impending doom.
* Hormonal changes: Hormonal changes, such as those that occur during perimenopause and menopause, can cause mood changes, fatigue, and hot flashes.
* Thyroid problems: Thyroid disorders like hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism could cause fatigue, mood swings, and other symptoms.
* Chronic fatigue syndrome: Chronic fatigue syndrome is a complex disorder that can cause fatigue, headaches, and other symptoms.
* Chronic infections: Chronic infections, such as Lyme disease or Epstein-Barr virus, can cause fatigue, mood changes, and other symptoms.

You need to keep all these differentials in your mind.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. H. Kay, General & Family Physician
