What Causes Chronic Fatigue While On Simvastatin?

My husband is taking 20 mg simvastatin once daily. He is very tired all the time and takes lots of naps. His energy level is almost zero. He also takes Metoprolol , losartan & maxzide. I am beginning to get very worried about him. Any ideas you can help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Fatigue and tiredness may occur with stains you should check his CPK level if that is raised we probably need to stop or change this drug. If that is normal then we should also think of other reasons like thyroid problem or low hemoglobin or renal functions and electrolytes.

If all normal then we can also blame the other medicine for this like all. Blood pressure medicines specially Metoprolol can cause fatigue. We may need to stop or reduce the dose at least.
