What Causes Chronic Headache, Fever, Diarrhoea And Back Pain?

Hi: I am experiencing a prolonged fever for about two weeks, returning even after I have taken fever reducers. I also am keeping a headache, having night sweats, suffering with nausea and diarrhea, tasting metal in my mouth, and having pain in my back. I have gone to a med center, and they confirmed my fever is not going down (stays between 101 - 102 temp). Any thoughts on what I should be asking the physician about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a gastroenteritis. I recommend to drink plenty of fluids. Eat bland foods to reduce stress on your digestive system. I also suggest using daily probiotics. If the symptoms continue, you should consult your physician. You can consult your physician about the examinations that you can do to confirm the diagnosis. I would recommend ti do a stool test and a complete blood count for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
