What Causes Chronic High BP With Angina Attacks While On Medications?
i HAVE CHRONICALLY HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE...LOW AVERAGE IS 150/100...Often, in a given day, it is 180/110 - 210/130...I get angina attacks and have had one small infarction and have A Fib/ TAchycardia...all are secondary symptoms to my Cushings Syndrome....but I am 18 months post adrenalectomy (L)...on prednisone the whole time...and lately my BP is back up to where it was before and I have to take my Clonidine Patch and my lisonipril with hctz...just to occasionally get numbers at 150/100 or 140/90...and now my median numbers seem to be too small, like 20-30, and I can t get below 110, such as 140/110 or 130/110.
You need control of your BP, it needs enhancing of dose or changing of your medicine. You are advised to take some beta blocker for BP. control, as besides controlling your BP, it will also control your pulse rate. You are advised to go for a TMT and if indicated CAG also, to rule out any ischemic heart disease.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
