Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been admitted to the hospital this week fir chronic nausea and vomiting. i cannot keep anything down. i have been tested for pregnancy, did an ultra sound, saw the gyno and also had blood work and urine work done and i went to a different hospital also and they both said the same thing that my test are clear and there is no infection etc. am feeling very weak hence the vomiting. i am super hungry and ultra frustrated please help!! :( also did a gastroscopy.
There are different possible causes of persistent nausea and vomiting, some of which would have been ruled out with the blood tests and imaging that were done.
The more common causes are: (1)mass in the abdomen or pelvis (2)side effect of medication (3)failure of the autonomic nerves involved in controlling movement of food in the stomach and intestines (4)high calcium levels (5)infection (6)kidney disease (7)alcohol (8)anxiety and other psychological conditions (9)vertigo
You may want to visit a gastroenterologist for review. He or she may be able to help determine the cause.
I hope this helps
