Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain numbness on face along with severe pain attack can be most commonly due to nerve disorder related to Trigeminal nerve known as Trigeminal Neuralgia..
Trigeminal nerve is the nerve of face and supplies sensation on face..
Any disorder related to it like nerve compression with a major artery, traumatic injury to the nerve, nerve inflammation etc can cause numbness as well as bouts of severe electric shock like pain..
I would suggest you to consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like MRI SCAN, x-ray etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised to take neurotic painkillers like Carbamazipine, that is the drug of choice..
Other drugs includes Gabapantin, baclofen etc..
You can also be advised Vitamin B complex supplements..
In case if the symptoms does not improve surgical treatments like Microvascular Decompression, glycerol injection, balloon compression, Gama knife radiosurgery can be advised depending upon the cause of the nerve problem..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
