What Causes Chronic Pain In The Ankle?
Hi hi I have chronic pain in my ankle for almost eight weeks now, sore to touch on clothes and bed sheets,but at night the pain comes in chronic attacks and wakes me so am taking codiene, have talked to 3 Drs and they are puzzled about what is wrong, and have been given Ibrufen 2 3 times a day for 8 weeks now, but have been told in last 3 days to stop Ibrufen and have been given gabapentin take one at night and still codeine, and given referral to orthopaedic specialist really tired

To me should run xray and MRI of the ankle to determine the right diagnosis.
Yes, should go to orthopedic specialist first and get the investigations and prescriptions from him/her.
