What Causes Chronic Pain In The Jaw, Teeth And Tongue?
I am on day 7th, woke up and my teethed are chattering when I am in pain? Like real bad. My doctor has had me on Tylenol 3 but it wasn’t working very well for my so he put me on fentanyl patch bit doesn’t seem to be kicking in and if it is doesn’t seem to be good job? Is the patch going to help.? I am so tired, don’t sleep much, have only eaten mash potatoes and applesauce, my mouth, jaw, Teeth, tongue, hurts so bad. At night is the worse..... drinking water is the hardest but I make myself.....

Such a severe pain that is not being relieved with the medicine that you are taking needs to be treated with higher painkillers like Tramadol [ultracet] or Ketorolac. Also as you have not mentioned the cause of pain that whether it is due to tooth decay or any other cause, therefore the cause has to be first treated as it will help in improvement of the symptoms. Take soft meals and along with it do cool compresses over the cheek. You can also consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and an injection of painkiller can help in improvement of pain.
