What Causes Chronic Pain In The Ribs, Shoulders And Neck?
I was helping my husband bleed the brakes on a dune buggy which was hosted up on a jack, the buggy jerked and fell of of the jack and hit the cement below. I was sitting the seat when the downward jolt occured, my stomach felt cramped and i felt achy all over after, but did not think much of it. today the aches are worse (ribs, shoulders, bad neck pain, and headaches) and my neck has felt warm to the touch since last night. Could it be reverse whiplash?
Whip lash is a form of soft tissue/muscle injury. The aches and pains that you are experiencing are likely due to soft tissue/muscle injury to these areas.
The use of anti inflammatory medication, if you can use these, would help. Eg naproxen or ibuprofen. Increased temperature can occur as part of the body's inflammatory reaction. Ice compress to the affected areas, 2 to 3 times a day would be helpful as well.
Rest is needed.
If there is no improvement then you may need to see your doctor for stronger medication
I hope this helps
