What Causes Chronic Pain In Thigh Radiating To The Calf?

Thank you Dr. Rynne. I have been having a lot of pain in my right thigh. I do have a knee issue which I have been getting injections, however somtimes my thigh pains so badly that I cannot lay on it. It seems to radiate down into my calf and sometimes my foot at times. I have been trying to stretch (as in yoga) but it seems like it makes it worse.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of nerve compression and related pain is more.
So better to get done MRI lumber spine to know the severity of nerve compression.
You should follow vigorous physiotherapy in the form of massage, ultrasound, wax, diathermy etc.
Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid bad postures in sleep. Wear lumber belt to prevent nerve compression.
Combination of pregabalin and methycobalamime is also beneficial in your case.
So consult orthopedic doctor and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
