What Causes Chronic Productive Cough In An Infant?
My 20 month old had a fever 5 days ago, went to the doctor, just said it was a cold. seemed to get much better, however, last night this terrible croup cough began and he didn t sleep the cough is deep and full of mucas, he eats good has energy and in good frame of mind, just this awful cough

The cause for cough might be due to various reasons like post viral syndrome with excessive cough,due to bronchitis ,dust allergy ,uncleared upper respiratory cough and so many other reasons.
Do consult your paediatrician if it does not subside by 4 to 5 days.Mucolytic and expectorant syrup can be used to bring down the cough in prescribed doses.avoiding trigger factors like dust ,cold ,allergic substances may reduce the symptoms.
