I get a runny nose everyday, and it lasts most of the day. I don t smoke, don t drink and don t do drugs. I go jogging regularly, and eat foods like wholemeal bread, soup, fish fingers, chips and chocolate and drink nothing but water and have a glass of orange juice for breakfast with weetabix cereal. Any idea why I get a runny nose so often? I suffer from hayfever, that I do know, and i ve also got eczema
It seems that you are having chronic rhinitis or chronic inflammation of the nose and the sinuses. It is mainly due to allergy to dust, smoke, insects, pollen grains. Allergy will never get eradicated but it will sometimes increase or sometimes decrease. Therefore, try to avoid allergens like dust, smoke.
Take Fluticasonenasal spray at bedtime for 3 months. Take Solspre saline spray for 2 months to clear the allergic mucus. Take steam inhalation. Do warm saline gargle. Change bed sheet, pillow cover thrice weekly. Have warm water bath after coming from outside. Do yoga, running exercise or nasal breathing exercises.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
