Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I constantly have pain under my left rib cage. It s not present till I move in a certain way or put pressure on my ribs. I wouldn t even call it pain it s more like a bruised feeling. It s been on and off for years. It originally started on the lower portion of the left ribs. I ve had ultrasounds before and they can t find anything. Have just mentioned seeing tiny kidney stones.
Hi..Can understand your concern...As per your query about pain in upper rib cage from a longer time..it can be due to some earlier injury which was not treated properly that time and that has caused costochondritis .You should not get worry and try analgesicmuscle relaxant like aceclo -MR with topical diclofenac gel like volitra ...it will subside after sometime. You should also go for investigation like Xray and consult a physician to rule out any other cause as well as for kidney stones.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
