What Causes Chronic Vomiting Along With Fever?

Male, 29. Since October I have had cycles of vomiting that last one to two weeks. Midgrade fever. 101 temperature one day. Then 99.8 the next day. I lost 14 lbs in 8 days 2 weeks ago. Had a kidney infection in October and was hospitalized 4 days. All my tests come back negative for infection? Before hospitalized with kidney infection (outside the kidney wall) white blood cell count was 14,000. Wbc count is normal now. Liver and gallbladder cat scans with contrast come back normal as well. Endoscopy was normal just show irritatation from vomiting. Waiting for a appointment with a Infectious disease doctor now. ( no food allergies)

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to a chronic infection.

Although your white blood count is normal, this does not mean that you do not have an infection.

I recommend performing further tests (PCR, ESR, Wright and Widal test, Mantoux and gamma interferon assay for Tuberculosis, etc.)

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
