What Causes Chronic Vomiting And Abdominal Pain?

I have be throwing up everything I eat for the past three days within 30 minutes of eating something. The only thing I can keep down are bananas, saltines and apple sauce. I never feel nauseous and haven t been in pain until today I felt a little pain in my stomach (but that could just be from throwing up 5 time a day). What could cause this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Short Anser:
Probably Gatric/Duodenal Ulcer.

Detailed Answer :
Hello and thank you for the questiom. I read carefully your syptomes. In the most cases, vomiting and abdominal pain are related to presence of Gastric or Duodenal Ulcer. Beside the symptomes you prescribed, did you have any episode of heartburn or chest pain lately? Is there any other of your family member who ever had problem gastro intestinal tract disorders?
I would recommend you to do some lab test to check if you have Helicobacter Pylori present in you GI tract. You should check it by doing a simple blood test, or stool test.
Also if you use regularly a grup of medications called NSAID ( nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs ) which also may cause ulcers.

The most specific examination you should do is, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, which is a procedure to check inside of your GI tract if there is any presence of abnormalities. After doing that, your doctor can establish the correct diagnosis and further on , the right treatment.

Feel free to ask again.

Best Regards!
