What Causes Chronic Vomiting?

for 3 weeks my daughter has been vomiting. early morning and some afternoons. i have taken her to the doctor twice. first they thought it was the stomach flu. that was ruled out and pregnancy was ruled out. the second time i took her she suggested that i take her to a g.i. doctor and to get a brain scan. what could possibly be wrong with her? tomorrow she has another appointment. what should i ask her doctor?

Hi,

There can be various issues with intestine infection, inflammatory bowel issue, liver pathology, gallbladder or biliary tree disturbances, food-related or others.

You should discuss with her doctor regarding the findings of ultrasound and CT abdomen and pelvis with the need of upper GI endoscopy or not.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
