What Causes Circular Mark Under Skin On Thigh?

I have noticed a small cirlular mark on the inside of my left thigh, just above the knee.It doesnt hurt or itch in any way,and you cant feel it by running your fingers over it,as it appears to be below the surface of the skin.It is red in color, shaped exactly like a ring, but i have no memory of having bumped into or knocked against anything lately. Its been there for two days now,and i was just wondering what it was.

Hi.
As per your case history you are probably having granuloma annulare.
My treatment advice is -
1. It is a chronic disease, sometimes cured on its own.
2. If you have family history of diabetes, then get it checked.
3. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on it.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like rifampicin, oral steroids, vitamin E taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
