What Causes Clavicle Pain Upon Coughing While Having Asthma?

Dull pain behind left collar bone when coughing. I have asthma and have had a virus for a couple weeks. I have been coughing quite a bit. It seems to be not very productive. The pain usually comes after a breathing treatment. Is it a pulled muscle or something worse.

Excessive use of accessory muscles of respiration during coughing leads to pain in collar bones as few accessory muscles get inserted in clavicle bone.
