What Causes Clear And Thick Mucus In The Throat While Having Calcified Granuloma?
I have a history of allergies, but recently, I am experiencing a lot of thick, sticky, clear to light colored mucus which interferes with sleeping because it is difficult to clear. I seem to have some fluid in my chest, too. I was diagnosed with a calcified granuloma in my left lung six years ago. I am wondering if this is a much more serious condition.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Take tablet Bromhexine twice daily for 7 days. Take steam inhalation through mouth and nose thrice daily for a month. Start a Fluticasonenasal spray twice daily for one month. You need to take anti-allergic tab Levocetrizine for 3 weeks. Have you done any chest X-ray in recent time? Get a chest X-ray done. Calcified lung don't cause thick mucus so often. Continue this treatment.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions. Regards, Dr. Rajat Basak
