What Causes Clear Mucus Rectal Discharge After Eating Greasy Food?
could it be possible to get an infection in the Collin that would cause a clear discharge and a feeling of needing to have a bowl movement, i have had these sim-toms about 2 months and have tried to eliminate certain foods but cant seem to decide what causes this. it seems to get worse when i eat greasey foods like sausage. I am a 58 years old male , not overweight , healthy, non smoker. Thanks Dan
Dear-thanks for using HCM . Colon infection will give you pain, fever, bloating sensation as some of the common symptoms. You are having a clear discharge and sensation that you need to move the bowel. It is advisable to have a sample of the stools for parasite and regular culture. Other possibility is malabsorption, or decreased ability of the intestines to absorb the food, which happens in gluten or celiac disease. You should avoid fat food and see if you see an improvement. The digestive enzymes can help and they are without prescription. If no improvement,it is advisable to have a GI evaluation for colonoscopy. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.Sara
